Our Mission

“To live out the love of Jesus by educating and empowering the young children of Uganda and the communities we serve.”

Our Vision

“That every person we serve would know Christ and make Him known, resulting in transformed lives, restored relationships, and changed communities.”

Uganda Samaritan Ministries was founded by Derrick Olupot in 2019. The organization empowers and encourages the orphaned kids, poor and vulnerable in the country of Uganda. The name chosen for this ministry represented what Derrick longed to see take root in the lives of everyone who came in contact with the ministry. In Luganda, the local language, Omusamaliya means “Samaritan.” Uganda Samaritan Ministries desires to reveal the truth of God’s unconditional love through Jesus Christ to the people of Uganda.

We long to see people fed spiritually and restored into a right relationship with God

We show our love for God

We show our love for God by obeying His command to care for the least of His people and make disciples of all nations. Every outreach of Uganda Samaritan Ministries, whether education scholarship, medical or community outreach, is accompanied by Biblical teaching and spiritual encouragement. We know that nourishing the physical needs is not the ultimate goal.

What We Do

Every outreach of Uganda Samaritan Ministries, whether education scholarship, vocational training, or medical care, is built on a biblical perspective with an emphasis on relationship and disciple-making.

Whatever we do, we will do it with all of our heart We will be men and women of passion.

USM CORE VALUES

We have worked to articulate core values that drive our individual and organizational posture. These six stated values serve as guides to remind us what we are about, what is important to us, and what we want to strive for in the future.

CHILD SPONSORSHIP:

In 2017, we learned about an epidemic present in sub-Saharan Africa that still exists today. Oftentimes, parents and/or guardians are forced to give up their guardianship to orphanages simply because they’re unable to provide the most basic needs for their children: food, medical care, and education. Children who have living, healthy family members can and do become orphans overnight.
Uganda Samaritan ministries gives a hand to vulnerable children in the communities. Our goal is not only to meet their physical needs, but to give them everything they need to become healthy and whole, and live a life of purpose. When you sponsor a child, you help us provide food, clothing, medical care, education and a safe place they can call home. You may also choose to upgrade your regular Sponsorship to Sponsorship Plus. This additional support helps bridge the gap between the time a child is identified and when they are fully sponsored. There are always new children being welcomed into our family who are not yet sponsored and will benefit from this support. Sponsor a child today for only $35 monthly and let’s all sit down and witness what God is doing in the lives of the many vulnerable children in our communities.

YOUR PARTNERSHIP CHANGES LIVES

Your faithful generosity allows our USM to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of many of the most vulnerable children and families in Jinja, Uganda. Lives are transformed, relationships are restored, and communities are changed because of YOUR generosity.
Over 50% of Ugandans are under the age of 15, and most decisions for Christ are made between the ages of 4-14. That’s one more reason your partnership matters.
